An Athletic
Trainer's main role is the prevention, treatment, care and rehabilitation
of athletic injuries. Alfred University's Athletic Training Program
is designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for an entry-level
athletic trainer.
The division
of athletic training offers a 127 credit-hour major, culminating in
a Bachelor of Science degree.
The program
is divided into two levels - the Athletic
Training Basic Education program (ATBEP) for freshmen and
sophmores and the Athletic
Training Education Program (ATEP) for students who have completed
the basic program (ATBEP).
Our program
is currently accredited by the Joint Review
Committee on Educational Programs in Athletic Training (JRC-AT).
