An Athletic Trainer's main role is the prevention, treatment, care and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Alfred University's Athletic Training Program is designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for an entry-level athletic trainer.

The division of athletic training offers a 127 credit-hour major, culminating in a Bachelor of Science degree.

The program is divided into two levels - the Athletic Training Basic Education program (ATBEP) for freshmen and sophmores and the Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) for students who have completed the basic program (ATBEP).

Our program is currently accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Athletic Training (JRC-AT).

Program Graduates: Please fill out the Athletic Training Graduate Info Sheet. Completed forms can be emailed to howellt@alfred.edu.
